Job Overview:
The Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist is a pivotal role within the IAEA's Division of Information Technology, responsible for leading the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services across the organization. This position ensures that various Microsoft 365 workloads, such as Power Platform, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online, are effectively configured, integrated, and optimized to meet the evolving business needs of the IAEA. The specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing collaboration and supporting secure digital transformation initiatives within the organization. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, governance capabilities, and solution architecture skills to translate organizational needs into robust Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance productivity and compliance. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior staff and engaging with stakeholders across departments to drive adoption and innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist include designing, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft 365 workloads to align with organizational goals and standards. The specialist will define and implement governance policies, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security controls, and lifecycle management practices for Microsoft 365 services. They will architect and deliver advanced solutions using Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint Online, and Teams, ensuring seamless integrations with third-party systems. Monitoring Microsoft's roadmap and proactively managing the adoption of new features is essential to minimize disruption. The specialist will provide expert-level support and guidance to internal clients and IT teams, resolving complex issues and ensuring service continuity. Additionally, they will develop and maintain technical documentation, governance artifacts, and reusable templates to support standardization and knowledge sharing. Leading or contributing to cross-functional projects involving Microsoft 365, including migrations and digital transformation initiatives, is also a key responsibility. Furthermore, the specialist will mentor and support junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the Microsoft 365 Centre of Excellence.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Software, IT Engineering, or a related field such as information management, electronic engineering, or computer science. An internationally recognized certification in Project Management, such as PMP or Prince2, is mandatory. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services in an enterprise environment. Additionally, an internationally recognized certification in Information Security is desirable, along with Microsoft certification for software development/design using Microsoft platform-related tools. Proven experience in configuring and managing Microsoft 365 workloads, including Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Copilot Agent, is essential. Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and REST APIs is also required. Experience in supporting user adoption, training, and documentation for Microsoft 365 tools, as well as knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices, is desirable. Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate, or equivalent are considered assets.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Software, IT Engineering, or a related field, which may include information management, electronic engineering, or computer science. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of the role and for effectively managing Microsoft 365 services.

Experience:
The role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services within an enterprise environment. This experience should encompass a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services and the ability to implement governance policies, security configurations, and compliance controls. Experience in leading IT projects using methodologies such as ITIL, PMP, or PRINCE2 is also beneficial, particularly with a focus on change enablement and stakeholder engagement.

Languages:
Excellent oral and written command of English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages, including Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish, is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's profile.

Additional Notes:
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $71,335, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance. Additionally, there is a variable post adjustment currently amounting to US $40,162, along with dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, and relocation and repatriation expenses. Other benefits include 6 weeks of annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan, and health insurance.
