Job Overview: The Marketing and Communication Coordinator will play a crucial role within the Product Management Unit (PTM) at ICAO, which is tasked with identifying, analyzing, and implementing revenue-generating opportunities. This position involves working closely with the marketing team, ICAO Bureaus, and Regional Offices to develop and execute digital and promotional campaigns that effectively showcase ICAO's intellectual property products and events. The coordinator will be responsible for executing digital marketing campaigns, managing social media content, and developing marketing strategies that align with ICAO's objectives. The role requires a proactive approach to marketing, with a focus on delivering high-quality content and engaging with various stakeholders to enhance ICAO's visibility and impact in the aviation sector.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Marketing and Communication Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: executing digital marketing campaigns on time and within budget; performing day-to-day email marketing activities such as campaign setup, scheduling, testing, and deployment; assisting Product Managers in developing marketing plans for events, products, and services; crafting targeted messages and building an email calendar based on effective campaign timing; ensuring quality assurance of all outbound campaigns; troubleshooting issues related to campaign reporting and digital experience; collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders; managing subscriber data import and segmentation; implementing advanced dynamic content in email marketing campaigns; conducting quality assurance reviews; monitoring and analyzing data from digital marketing efforts; developing and posting social media content; maintaining an editorial calendar; engaging in paid social advertising; and organizing files and working documents as per established structures. The coordinator will also be expected to complete mandatory organizational training and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, E-Commerce, or related fields. Additionally, a minimum of two years of professional experience in communications, journalism, and digital marketing is essential. Candidates should have experience in executing marketing campaigns through email marketing and social media platforms, as well as hands-on experience with CRM systems, marketing tools, and marketing automation systems. Knowledge of paid advertising on platforms such as Google, Facebook, X(Twitter), and LinkedIn is required, along with basic HTML/CSS skills for designing marketing emails. Strong creative and copywriting skills, presentation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment are also necessary. Familiarity with social media management tools, SEO, and video production is desirable, as is the ability to analyze promotional data and make meaningful recommendations based on trends.
Educational Background: The position requires a first-level university degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or E-Commerce. Additional Notes: This ongoing consultancy position is structured on an annual renewal basis, subject to performance and budget availability. As a consultant, the position does not include paid vacation or holiday days, insurance, or pension benefits. Compensation is provided at a daily rate ranging from CAD 186 to CAD 210 net, and the consultant is expected to work five days a week on a full-time basis from 9 AM to 5 PM. It is required that the consultant be present in the Montreal office for a minimum of three days a week, with occasional weekend and evening work required to support conferences and events.
