The Revenue and Product Management Section, which is part of the Capacity Development and Implementation Bureau, focuses on generating revenue through various activities such as events, training, publications, databases, websites, and printing, all of which support ICAO's strategic goals and related program support.

Job Overview:
The Marketing Intern position at ICAO offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the field of marketing within an international organization. The intern will work under the supervision of the Marketing Manager and alongside the marketing team to support various marketing activities. This role is designed to provide insights into international aviation, digital marketing, and communications in a United Nations environment. The intern will assist in the preparation and execution of digital marketing campaigns, contribute to social media and content creation, and help manage marketing content and organization. This internship is an excellent way to learn about the intricacies of marketing in a global context while contributing to ICAO's mission of enhancing aviation safety and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for supporting digital marketing campaigns by assisting with the preparation and scheduling of email marketing campaigns, drafting content for marketing emails and social media posts, and organizing data lists for marketing outreach. They will learn to use email marketing tools and automation systems, participate in meetings to understand digital marketing strategies, and help track campaign performance. Additionally, the intern will assist with social media and content creation by preparing and publishing posts on various platforms, drafting social media copy, monitoring engagement, and participating in the preparation of blog articles and event highlights. The intern will also help with content management by organizing digital files and marketing content, ensuring updates are made to keep information current, and populating the event mobile app with relevant details. General learning and administrative support will also be part of the role, including completing mandatory training and participating in team meetings.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the Marketing Intern position, applicants must have completed or be enrolled in a university degree or higher at the time of application. The degree should be in a field related to marketing, business, communications, public or business administration, political science, or journalism. Knowledge of digital communications and publishing platforms is essential, and experience in layout and design would be considered an asset. The intern should demonstrate professionalism, effective communication skills, teamwork, client orientation, and creativity in their approach to tasks.

Educational Background:

Additional Notes:
This internship is unpaid, and all costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by the intern. The preferred duration of the internship is six months, with the intern expected to work full-time, five days a week from 9 AM to 5 PM. This is a hybrid position, requiring at least three days a week in the Montreal office. Interns are not permitted to engage in any other form of employment within ICAO during the internship period and are ineligible to apply for or be appointed to any post in the Secretariat or contracted for any other remunerated employment with ICAO for six months following the end of their internship. A work permit may be required to work in Canada as an intern.
