Job Overview:
The position of Missions involves overseeing the logistics and administrative operations at the Mueda and Mocímboa bases in Mozambique. The primary objective for the first two to three months is to ensure comprehensive coverage of administrative and logistics aspects at both bases. The role requires implementing and managing logistics operations to support program needs effectively and ensuring compliance with Solidarités International procedures. Additionally, the position entails assisting the Field Coordinator in monitoring safety and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security measures to protect staff and assets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for financial oversight, ensuring sound management of the base's administrative and financial operations in line with donor requirements and internal procedures. This includes monitoring budget utilization and preparing financial reports as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement and oversee all logistics operations at the Mueda and Mocímboa bases to ensure smooth program support.
  • Organize and optimize logistic support to effectively meet program needs and timelines.
  • Assist the Field Coordinator in reviewing, implementing, and monitoring safety and security measures to protect staff, assets, and activities at the base.
  • Ensure sound administrative, accounting, and financial management of the base in strict compliance with donor requirements and Solidarités International internal procedures.
  • Monitor and report on budget utilization and support the preparation of financial reports as needed.
  • Supervise accounting operations and cash management, carrying out budget follow-up in conjunction with program managers.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Solidarités International’s Human Resources policy at the base.
  • Serve as the point of reference for the bases and the link with Coordinations on all support-related matters.
  • Conduct day-to-day security monitoring and adapt to changing security contexts.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Previous experience with INGO/UN agencies is desired.
  • Experience in unstable environments (conflict/post-conflict countries).
  • Experience in both HR and Finance management.
  • Knowledge of Saga and Homere software is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Solidarités rules, tools, and procedures is advantageous.
  • Training and capacity-building skills are essential.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required for this position, ensuring that the candidate has a foundational understanding of the necessary concepts and practices related to humanitarian aid and logistics management.

Experience:
Candidates should possess 3 to 4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a focus on logistics and administrative operations. Experience in a similar position is also required, demonstrating the ability to manage operations in challenging environments effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, while proficiency in Portuguese is preferable. This language requirement ensures effective communication within the team and with local stakeholders.

The compensation package includes a starting salary of EUR 2310 gross per month, a monthly Per Diem of USD 750, and coverage for accommodation and travel expenses.
