Job Overview: PROSDOMA is seeking 10 online volunteers with expertise in project writing to support its resource mobilization efforts. The volunteers will play a crucial role in identifying funding opportunities and developing project proposals that align with the organization’s focus areas, which include environmental protection, humanitarian action, advocacy, and migration support. Each volunteer will independently research and identify one relevant funding opportunity that corresponds with PROSDOMA’s mission. This task is essential for enabling sustainable and impactful programming within the organization. Volunteers will draft one complete project or grant proposal based on the identified opportunity, ensuring that the proposals adhere to donor guidelines. The proposals will then be submitted to PROSDOMA’s team for review and official submission, contributing to the organization’s overall goal of enhancing its resource mobilization efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Research and identify one relevant funding opportunity that aligns with PROSDOMA’s focus areas, including biodiversity conservation, climate change, reforestation, humanitarian action, plastic pollution advocacy, and migration support.
Draft a complete project or grant proposal based on the identified funding opportunity, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines.
Submit the draft proposal to PROSDOMA’s team for review and feedback.
Collaborate with other volunteers to share insights and best practices in project writing.
Participate in virtual meetings or discussions as needed to align efforts and share progress.
Maintain communication with PROSDOMA’s team throughout the proposal development process to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
Proven expertise in project writing, with a strong understanding of grant proposal development.
Familiarity with funding opportunities related to environmental protection, humanitarian action, and migration support.
Strong research skills to identify relevant funding sources.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to articulate project goals and objectives clearly.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Experience in working with non-profit organizations or similar sectors is an asset.
Educational Background: A background in fields such as environmental science, social sciences, international development, or a related area is preferred. Relevant certifications in project management or grant writing may also be beneficial.
Experience: Volunteers should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in project writing or grant proposal development. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in resource mobilization is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in French or other languages relevant to the target communities is considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This is a remote volunteer position, allowing individuals from various locations to participate. The duration of the assignment is flexible, depending on the availability of the volunteers and the timelines for the funding opportunities identified. Volunteers will not receive monetary compensation but will gain valuable experience and contribute to meaningful projects that support newcomers and sustainable development initiatives.
