Job Overview:
The LACRO and US Hispanic Marketing Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality marketing materials that enhance the visibility and positioning of CRS across the region and among key stakeholders. This role serves as the regional focal point for marketing efforts, supporting the design, implementation, and delivery of centrally supported marketing initiatives. The officer will produce compelling, on-brand content that aligns with the communications priorities of the LACRO region and specifically targets Hispanic outreach for U.S. Church audiences. The position involves creating original Spanish content, providing editorial feedback, and supporting digital channels. Additionally, the officer will contribute to strategic engagement priorities by collecting and disseminating materials for decision-making and mentoring staff to strengthen communications capacity across the region. The role is integral to ensuring consistent messaging and increased visibility for CRS.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the LACRO and US Hispanic Marketing Officer include writing, editing, and publishing content for engaging U.S. Hispanic Catholics across various platforms, including print, digital, and social media. The officer will collaborate on U.S. Hispanic engagement communications and marketing strategies, ensuring cultural appropriateness and accuracy. Responsibilities also include creating advocacy materials for Spanish-speaking constituents, producing emergency response communication resources, and providing strategic messaging guidance. The officer will coordinate communications strategies between regional leadership and country programs, produce compelling content during regional crises, and establish systems to strengthen communications capacity. Additional duties involve mentoring country communications staff, supporting leadership in preparing communications for stakeholders, and contributing to integrated planning processes to align marketing strategies with agency-wide priorities.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related area. Candidates should have experience working with international non-governmental organizations and a proven ability to write for various content mediums, including print and digital formats. Preferred qualifications include experience in development and humanitarian programming, as well as overseas work experience. Candidates should demonstrate personal accountability, integrity, trust-building, collaboration, and a willingness to learn.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. This educational background is essential for understanding the principles of effective marketing and communication strategies, particularly in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field. Experience with international non-governmental organizations is highly desirable, as it provides insight into the unique challenges and opportunities in humanitarian work. Proven experience in writing for various content mediums is also essential, as the role involves producing high-quality content under tight deadlines.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English is mandatory for this position. This bilingual proficiency is crucial for effectively engaging with U.S. Hispanic audiences and ensuring that communications are culturally relevant and linguistically accurate. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.

The position may require travel up to 30%. It does not have supervisory responsibilities.
