The officer will facilitate the development of comprehensive multi-year protection and solutions strategies, support relationship building with development cooperation agencies, and contribute to the design and implementation of monitoring systems. Familiarity with UNHCR operations and collaboration with development actors in emergencies is advantageous. Fluency in both spoken and written French and English is required.
Educational Background: A university degree in Development Economics, Development Studies, Socio-economic Development, International Relations, Political Science, Law, or a related field is required for this position. Candidates with advanced degrees may have reduced experience requirements, with a Doctorate degree allowing for four years of relevant experience.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of six years of relevant experience, with at least two years in field operations. Experience in forced displacement situations and familiarity with quantitative research methods and results-based management are desirable. Candidates should have a strong understanding of economic growth, governance, and conflict dynamics, particularly in fragile contexts.
