Job Overview: The Director of Corporate Strategy at IFC will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization. This position is integral to the Corporate Strategy Department, which is responsible for formulating and implementing IFC's strategy, managing Board relations, and supporting the IFC Management Team. The Director will report directly to the Vice President of Strategy and Operations Support and will be expected to lead the development and coordination of IFC's corporate strategy in alignment with the World Bank Group's (WBG) strategic objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of emerging trends and the ability to integrate credible foresight analytics into strategic planning. The Director will also be responsible for promoting understanding of IFC's strategic priorities among staff and external stakeholders, ensuring that the organization remains responsive to the evolving landscape of development finance.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Director's responsibilities will include leading the periodic updating of IFC's corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with WBG strategies, and contributing to regional strategies and Country Partnership Frameworks. The Director will evaluate the operational implications of various strategies and support senior management in developing effective implementation roadmaps. Additionally, the role involves acting as a liaison with the WBG Corporate Secretariat and the Board, ensuring that Board materials meet established standards and effectively communicate IFC's strategic priorities.
