Job Overview:
The position of Consultant for the 'Perú Sonoro' project involves working within the framework of UNESCO's Culture Sector in Peru. The primary objective of this consultancy is to organize and conduct both virtual and in-person working sessions with agents from the musical sector across various regions of Peru. The consultant will be responsible for collecting, systematizing, and analyzing information regarding the recurrent challenges, opportunities, and proposals within the sector to enhance the distribution, promotion, and protection of their rights in the digital environment. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of the project, which aims to support the digitalization and equitable distribution of music while safeguarding copyright in the digital landscape. The consultant will work closely with the Ministry of Culture and other stakeholders to ensure that the sessions are effectively planned and executed, fostering participation and collaboration among musical agents.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including reviewing project documentation to ensure alignment with objectives, planning and organizing working sessions in various regions, coordinating with local public institutions for logistical support, maintaining an updated schedule of sessions, managing databases of participants, and collecting and analyzing data to identify key challenges and opportunities in the musical sector. Additionally, the consultant will be tasked with preparing reports on the sessions, documenting testimonies from musicians, and participating in technical meetings to present progress and recommendations. The consultant will also be responsible for delivering a final report that consolidates all findings and evidence from the sessions conducted.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in sociology, anthropology, cultural management, music, social sciences, or related fields. A minimum of four years of professional experience in cultural and/or social programs or projects is required, with at least two experiences in facilitating workshops or participatory spaces. Additionally, candidates should have experience in managing, systematizing, and analyzing information for diagnostics or studies. Knowledge of the musical sector and its dynamics is desirable, as is familiarity with the processes of creation, production, circulation, and distribution in the music industry.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as sociology, anthropology, cultural management, music, or social sciences. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the cultural context and the specific challenges faced by the musical sector in Peru.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of professional experience in cultural and/or social programs, with a focus on public or private sectors. Candidates should have at least two experiences in facilitating workshops or participatory sessions, as well as two experiences in managing and analyzing information for diagnostics or studies. This level of experience is crucial for effectively conducting the required sessions and ensuring meaningful engagement with stakeholders in the musical sector.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in the project and the working sessions. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it facilitates communication with diverse stakeholders in the cultural sector.

Additional Notes:
The consultancy contract will last for three months, with a total duration of 105 days, subject to budget availability and performance evaluation. The position is not expected to lead to renewal or conversion to another type of contract, and it does not include medical coverage. Candidates must be available to reside and work in Lima, Peru, and should be prepared to travel within the country as needed for the project.
