Job Overview: The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist position is crucial in developing, implementing, and conducting a wide range of quality assurance activities for health-related products. The QA Specialist will support audits and investigations, review and analyze data and documentation, and assist project teams in meeting their quality assurance needs. Although this position is primarily remote, candidates should be located near Durham, NC, to attend in-person meetings or training sessions as necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: The QA Specialist will be responsible for providing input and revisions for assigned documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and reports. They will support internal audits and accreditation activities, maintain the quality management system, and ensure that data entry and reviews meet quality standards. The role also includes administrative duties such as purchasing supplies and maintaining laboratory operations. The QA Specialist will collect materials and help maintain files and information management systems, support the development of quality systems for QA oversight, and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance concepts and practices, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or its international equivalent in Knowledge/Information Services, Communications, Education, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences, International Development, Human Development, or a related field. Additionally, 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance, laboratory work, or a related field is required. Experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is preferred, highlighting the importance of understanding the unique challenges and standards within this sector.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in a relevant field is mandatory for this position. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in areas related to health, social sciences, or information services, which are critical for understanding the complexities of quality assurance in health-related products.
Experience: The position requires 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, laboratory work, or a related field. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, with the ability to read, write, and speak proficiently. The role is full-time, typically calculated at 40 hours per week. The expected salary range for this position is between USD 60,000 and 70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
