Job Overview:
The position of Analyst at CHAI is critical in addressing the pressing healthcare challenges faced by South Africa, particularly in enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and sustainability of healthcare delivery. The Sustainable Health Financing (SHF) initiative, in collaboration with the National and Provincial Departments of Health, aims to implement innovative digital health solutions that improve governance, accountability, and cost efficiency within the public health sector. The Analyst will play a key role in overseeing a portfolio of digital health and health financing initiatives, including the implementation of systems such as the Health Management System (HMS2), Tender Management Application, and Fleet Management System. The Analyst will be expected to contribute to high-impact initiatives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that the programs are designed to scale nationally and that learnings are shared globally.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst's responsibilities include supporting the implementation of Sustainable Health Financing (SHF) and Digital Health initiatives, assisting in the planning and coordination of project activities, conducting data collection and analysis to inform design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and health financing reforms, preparing high-quality reports and presentations for stakeholders, maintaining program monitoring tools and databases, facilitating communication between CHAI teams and government departments, coordinating logistics for meetings and trainings, contributing to budget tracking and progress reporting, and supporting tendering processes at both provincial and national levels. The Analyst will also be expected to perform any other responsibilities as requested by their manager, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the organization's mission.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in finance, public management, economics, or a related field. A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience is required, along with strong problem-solving skills, analytical capability, and quantitative skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently is essential. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary, as well as a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of government Supply Chain Management processes is ideal, and experience in running trainings and workshops for government departments is also preferred.
