Job Overview:
The Driver position at UNICEF is crucial for providing reliable and safe transportation services to staff, visitors, and goods. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and reliable driving services for UNICEF staff, visitors, and goods, ensuring compliance with local traffic laws and UNICEF safety standards.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, including fuel, oil, lights, battery, brakes, and tires, and arrange for timely service and repairs.
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean and secure condition, equipped with necessary supplies such as a first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
• Operate the vehicle tracking system to log trip data and support safe driving behavior.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, including mileage, fuel usage, and service history.
• Use communication devices to maintain contact during field movements and emergencies, and be familiar with emergency response protocols.
• Support office operations during idle periods by completing learning modules, assisting with administrative tasks, and participating in team meetings.
• Share knowledge and best practices with junior or new drivers when requested.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations. A secondary education is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to UNICEF's core values of care, respect, integrity, trust, accountability, and sustainability. Additionally, candidates should exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Educational Background:
A secondary education is required for this position, along with a valid driver's license. Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations is essential for ensuring safe driving practices.

Experience:
A minimum of two years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy, or UN system is required. Candidates should have a proven safe driving record and the ability to navigate complex environments effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.

This position is assessed as an elevated risk role for Child Safeguarding purposes, requiring additional vetting and assessment.
