Job Overview:
The Project Field Coordinator will play a crucial role in the implementation of the 'She Leads Peace' project, which aims to enhance the participation and leadership of women and girls in peace, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and recovery processes in Mozambique. This position involves coordinating the project in the Sofala and Manica provinces, ensuring that the project aligns with the United Nations Security Council Resolutions on Women, Peace, and Security, as well as Mozambique's National Action Plan on WPS. The coordinator will lead training sessions on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment (GEWE) and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and will be responsible for integrating gender equality strategies into daily project operations. The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including government entities, UN agencies, and local women's organizations, to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Field Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties including: providing advanced administrative and logistical support for program management; preparing work plans, budgets, and proposals; offering technical guidance on program delivery and reporting; coordinating audits and implementing recommendations; managing financial aspects of the program; overseeing logistical arrangements for meetings and events; preparing public information materials; facilitating resource mobilization efforts; monitoring project implementation; supporting evaluations and training; and coordinating with partners for effective advocacy and awareness-raising events related to gender issues.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong administrative and logistical skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. They should have experience in program management, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement. A deep understanding of gender issues and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups is essential. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to represent the organization in various forums.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in social sciences, international relations, gender studies, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset for the position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in program coordination, project management, or a related field, preferably within the context of gender equality and women's empowerment initiatives. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Mozambique. Proficiency in English is also required, and knowledge of additional local languages would be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This position is a national UN Volunteer assignment, meaning the volunteer will be responsible for their own housing and living essentials. The role is based in Chimoio, Mozambique, and requires cultural sensitivity and adaptability to local customs and traditions. National UN Volunteers are part of a malicious insurance plan and are expected to engage actively with the community.
