Job Overview:
The position of Adjoint au budget et à la programmation is crucial for ensuring effective financial planning, monitoring, and analysis of project performance within the World Food Programme. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Adjoint au budget et à la programmation will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: reviewing budget plans, tracking and analyzing project financial performance, and formulating recommendations in line with WFP's financial policies and best practices. The incumbent will conduct in-depth analyses of fund balances and grants, identifying surpluses and deficits, and proposing corrective measures to maximize fund utilization. They will support pipeline management by ensuring effective monitoring to prevent and address pipeline breaks, thereby maximizing operational efficiency. The role also involves contributing to the improvement of internal processes, strengthening institutional systems, and designing tools to facilitate overall planning, expenditure forecasting, and budget management. The Adjoint will enter project budget plans and revisions into institutional systems to ensure timely and accurate data entry, facilitating access to information and supporting planning and decision-making. Additionally, the incumbent will compile and analyze data, maintain accurate records, and prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of information presented to internal and external stakeholders. Regular communication with various actors regarding project fund management and related processes will be essential to clarify discrepancies and optimize fund utilization. The Adjoint will also provide guidance to other support staff and contribute to their learning and development in budget planning, fund management, and operational planning, ensuring consistent and quality service delivery. Furthermore, the Adjoint will apply standard practices for emergency preparedness to enable WFP to respond swiftly and deploy necessary resources at the onset of a crisis.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a post-secondary certificate in a related functional area being a requirement. The position requires a minimum of six years of progressively responsible and relevant professional experience in the field, including general administrative work. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of budget preparation and management, as well as experience in monitoring budgets, resource plans, pipelines, and supply chains. Familiarity with budget-related issues and allocations within WFP's budgeting system is also essential. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are critical for success in this role.

Educational Background:
