Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the People & Culture Advisor include:
  • Delivering practical HR guidance and support to leaders on various people processes, ensuring that complex matters are escalated appropriately.
  • Managing low to moderate Employee Relations issues, assisting with the interpretation of industrial instruments, and supporting compliance and reporting activities.
  • Building leadership capability through performance management support, development planning, and the provision of people-management tools.
  • Promoting a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace culture by connecting teams with well-being resources and engagement initiatives.
  • Contributing to the development of policies, system improvements, and ensuring data integrity while driving continuous improvement across People & Culture operations.
  • Supporting organizational projects, collaborating with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), assisting with change and design activities, and fostering a cohesive, solutions-focused People & Culture team culture.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the People & Culture Advisor position should possess strong HR generalist capabilities, including a thorough understanding of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation, awards/Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs), and Employee Relations/Industrial Relations frameworks. Proven experience of at least 4 years in supporting low to moderate complexity people matters is essential, along with the ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and escalate issues appropriately. Candidates should demonstrate well-developed analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess risks, and produce clear and accurate advice and documentation.
