Job Overview:
The Test Lead position at Save the Children Australia is a full-time, permanent role based in Melbourne, where the successful candidate will be an integral part of the Technology team. The Test Lead will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will be responsible for both hands-on testing and strategic leadership. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Test Lead will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
  • Leading the development and implementation of an organization-wide testing strategy that establishes standards and best practices.
  • Building sustainable testing capabilities through training, mentoring, and documentation to foster a quality-first culture across all teams.
  • Overseeing test planning and execution for various testing types, including functional, integration, regression, performance, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Driving test automation initiatives and implementing modern testing tools and frameworks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across projects to align testing approaches, manage UAT, and communicate quality metrics and risks.
  • Continuously improving testing processes by collaborating with cross-functional teams and integrating testing into workflows based on lessons learned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Test Lead position must possess extensive experience in end-to-end process and software testing across the full lifecycle. This includes a demonstrated capability in leading testing for complex enterprise systems and proficiency in various testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building organizational testing capabilities, including mentoring and training team members. Additionally, strong skills in test automation, modern testing tools, and Agile and DevSecOps delivery models are essential. Candidates should also exhibit strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple testing streams and drive defect resolution effectively.

Educational Background:
