Duties and Responsibilities: The Cloud Platform Engineer will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Building and managing resilient, automated cloud infrastructure to facilitate uninterrupted staff operations.
Implementing strong identity and access management protocols to protect sensitive data and systems.
Monitoring system performance and swiftly resolving any issues to ensure optimal user experience.
Collaborating with Applications/Delivery, Data, and End-User teams to ensure safe and consistent deployment of changes.
Automating routine tasks and CI/CD workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload.
Documenting processes and maintaining clear communication with team members and stakeholders.
Staying updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve the organization's cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Cloud Platform Engineer position must possess a robust set of qualifications, including:
A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cloud or platform engineering, specifically with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in Terraform/OpenTofu for infrastructure-as-code development and maintenance.
Solid experience in administering Entra ID and Microsoft 365 environments.
Hands-on experience with GitHub, including the use of GitHub Actions and secure workflows.
A strong understanding of security best practices, including zero trust principles and least privilege access.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate for the Cloud Platform Engineer role should have a relevant educational background, typically including a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Additional certifications in cloud technologies, particularly those related to Microsoft Azure, Terraform, or security practices, would be advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development in the field.
