Job Overview:
In this full-time, permanent role, the P&C Talent & Onboarding Administrator will be an integral part of the People & Culture team at Save the Children Australia, based in the new Melbourne CBD Head Office. The primary focus of this position is to enhance the onboarding experience for new employees and support their integration into the organization. The administrator will serve as a friendly and trusted point of contact for onboarding and recruitment inquiries, ensuring that new hires feel welcomed and supported from their first day. This role involves managing pre-employment compliance activities, coordinating recruitment processes, and contributing to various People Operations projects aimed at improving the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and be passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The P&C Talent & Onboarding Administrator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: serving as the first point of contact for onboarding and recruitment inquiries; creating a welcoming onboarding experience for new employees; managing pre-employment compliance activities with precision; building positive relationships with employees and stakeholders; coordinating job advertising and recruitment administration; supporting hiring activities to attract talented individuals; contributing to People Operations projects and continuous improvement initiatives; ensuring a smooth and timely start for new employees; and providing responsive, people-focused support throughout the employee lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess proven experience in delivering high-quality customer service and building strong relationships with various stakeholders, including employees, leaders, and candidates. Experience in a fast-paced HR, administration, or shared services environment is essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Familiarity with recruitment and onboarding processes is highly regarded, as well as strong communication skills to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders. Attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement are also critical qualifications for this role.
Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of HR principles and practices, particularly in relation to recruitment and onboarding processes. Additional certifications or training in HR Information Systems, such as Employment Hero, would be advantageous.
Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HR administration, recruitment, or a related field. Experience in managing onboarding processes and providing exceptional customer service in a professional environment is essential. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as effective communication with diverse stakeholders is crucial. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly if they enhance the organization's ability to connect with various communities and client groups.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The role offers a competitive base salary of $80,000 plus 12% superannuation and full salary packaging benefits.
