Job Overview: As a Quality Engineer at EBRD, you will be part of a forward-thinking engineering team that is dedicated to driving quality excellence across complex, high-value financial platforms. Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, you will be the driving force behind building quality into every layer of the engineering ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing powerful test scenarios across functional, integration, regression, and workflow layers. You will work closely with developers, analysts, and product owners to refine user stories and create testable, unambiguous acceptance criteria. Additionally, you will build reusable test data, automation scripts, and frameworks, embedding them directly into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous, code-first validation. You will drive root cause analysis and risk-based prioritization to ensure defects are eliminated early, maintaining high sprint velocity. You will champion a shift-left, quality-first culture by actively participating in Agile ceremonies and advocating for security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, accessibility, and usability. Continuous enhancement of automation coverage and replacing manual efforts with scalable, modern testing solutions will also be key aspects of your role.
Required Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must have at least 5 years of hands-on QA experience across development and integration components, with a minimum of 3 years validating APIs and services, including RESTful workflows. A strong knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), pairing, and modern engineering practices is essential. You should have experience supporting QA from high-level solution architecture down to component level, along with hands-on experience in CI/CD environments and a strong version control discipline. Proven ability to build or extend test automation frameworks, UI testing experience across web and mobile, and experience aligning QA delivery within a mid-sized corporate tech landscape are also required. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Agile delivery methodologies, as well as strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, are essential for success in this role.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate for this position should possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A strong educational background in software development, quality assurance, or a similar discipline will be beneficial. Continuous learning and professional development in relevant technologies and methodologies will also be advantageous.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, with a focus on development and integration components. Experience in validating APIs and services, particularly RESTful workflows, is crucial. Additionally, candidates should have a proven track record of working in CI/CD environments and a strong understanding of modern engineering practices.
