Job Overview: The (Senior) Solutions Architect position within the Corporate Information & Technology (CIT) department at IFC is pivotal for delivering scalable solutions that enhance business growth and operational efficiency through technology and innovation. The role involves overseeing multiple projects within IFC's finance portfolio, ensuring that technical solutions align with the unit's strategic initiatives. The Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership, guiding a team of developers and ensuring effective delivery of solutions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, as the architect will be responsible for the design and modeling of application and data architecture, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and guidelines. The architect will also play a crucial role in integrating advanced technologies such as Generative AI and Large Language Models into core financial workflows, driving automation and improved decision-making processes.
Duties and Responsibilities: The (Senior) Solutions Architect will assume several key responsibilities, including: leading solution delivery teams in the implementation and operation of business-critical applications related to loan operations, equity management, and accounting; architecting process integrations with various applications and data platforms; providing guidance to stakeholders on technical features of digital solutions; documenting and communicating technical analyses and designs; collaborating with the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Information Security Team to meet security requirements; identifying systemic issues and applying best practices to ensure efficiency and reliability; leading the integration of Generative AI solutions; defining technical and solution architecture principles; coordinating with vendors and consultants; mentoring junior staff; and leading the development of prototypes and MVPs to validate concepts before major investments. The architect will also be accountable for delivering solutions that meet speed, scale, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field, such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Systems, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Proven leadership in managing large, complex deliverables is essential, with a minimum of 7 years of experience leading teams of developers in environments characterized by shifting priorities and complex IT landscapes. Hands-on technical expertise is required, with the ability to step into development roles as needed. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in modern architecture principles, cloud platforms, and services, as well as experience in developing large-scale solutions in Microsoft .NET Framework and extending Microsoft Dynamics with custom solutions. Familiarity with application authentication and authorization, Azure data platforms, and development best practices is also necessary.
Educational Background: A Master’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field is required for this position. This educational background ensures that candidates have a solid foundation in technical principles and practices necessary for the role of Solutions Architect.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years specifically in leading large teams of developers and managing complex deliverables.
