Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement security risk management strategies tailored to the specific context of the duty station.
Conduct thorough security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Provide guidance and support to staff on security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with local authorities, security agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance security networking and partnership building.
Organize and conduct training sessions for staff on security awareness and emergency response procedures.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and make recommendations for improvements.
Prepare and maintain security reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with other UN agencies and organizations to share best practices and enhance collective security efforts.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in fields such as Security Risk Management, International Relations, Conflict Analysis, Intelligence Analysis, Diplomatic Studies, Conflict and Security, or Counter Terrorism. Additionally, at least 2 years of relevant work experience in global security risk management and/or security analysis is required. Demonstrated international security management experience and a solid understanding of the United Nations Security Management System are highly desirable. Candidates should also exhibit strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in complex environments.
Educational Background: A university degree in a relevant field is mandatory for this position.
