Job Overview:
The position of IC- Legal Expert on Functional and Business Process Analysis for the Free Legal Aid (FLA) System involves providing expert legal analysis and support to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the FLA system. The expert will be responsible for assessing current business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending legal frameworks that align with best practices in legal aid provision. This role requires a deep understanding of legal processes, as well as the ability to analyze and propose solutions that will facilitate better access to legal aid for vulnerable populations. The expert will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the legal aid system is not only compliant with national laws but also responsive to the needs of the community it serves. The position is critical in ensuring that legal aid services are effectively delivered and that the processes are transparent and accountable.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the IC- Legal Expert include but are not limited to: conducting a comprehensive analysis of the current FLA system and its business processes; identifying gaps and inefficiencies in the legal aid delivery system; developing recommendations for legal and procedural reforms; collaborating with legal professionals, government officials, and civil society organizations to gather insights and feedback; drafting reports and legal documents that outline findings and recommendations; providing training and capacity-building support to stakeholders on best practices in legal aid; ensuring that all proposed changes comply with national and international legal standards; and participating in meetings and workshops to present findings and advocate for necessary reforms.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position must possess a strong legal background, with a focus on public law, human rights, or a related field. They should have a thorough understanding of legal aid systems and the challenges faced by vulnerable populations in accessing legal services. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex legal frameworks and propose actionable solutions. Strong communication skills are essential, as the expert will need to engage with a variety of stakeholders and present findings clearly and persuasively. A proven track record of working in legal reform or similar projects is highly desirable.

Educational Background:

Experience:
