Job Overview:
The National Project Coordination Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of technical assistance for agricultural and rural transformation initiatives in Bangladesh. This position involves a variety of administrative, operational, and financial tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth execution of project activities. The assistant will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing procurement processes, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to maintain organized records and documentation. The incumbent will work closely with the FAO Representative and other project personnel to ensure that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall mission of FAO in Bangladesh.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Project Coordination Assistant will handle a range of duties, including but not limited to: managing day-to-day administrative and logistics activities related to the project; responding to routine queries and providing clarifications on project matters; coordinating administrative and financial actions related to staff management, travel, payments, and procurement; assisting in the monitoring and evaluation of project activities; preparing progress reports for donors; maintaining organized records of documentation; reviewing and recommending improvements to project administration procedures; and performing other functions as required to support project goals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of six years of relevant experience in project operations, finance, or administration is required, preferably within UN agencies or international organizations. A working knowledge of English at Level C is mandatory, and candidates must be nationals of Bangladesh.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, or Finance. It is essential that the degree is obtained from an institution accredited or recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED). This ensures that the educational qualifications meet international standards and are recognized by FAO.

Experience:
The position requires at least six years of relevant experience in project operations, finance, or administration. This experience should ideally be gained in a context involving UN agencies, international organizations, or development projects, providing the candidate with a solid understanding of the operational and administrative frameworks within which FAO operates.

Languages:
A working knowledge of English at Level C is mandatory for this position. This level of proficiency ensures that the candidate can effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, prepare reports, and engage in discussions related to project activities. While English is the primary language required, knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
