Job Overview: The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Analyst position at the William J Clinton Foundation (WJCF) is crucial for the success of Project iLIFT, which aims to improve lung health in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh, India. The Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving M&E systems that will support the project's objectives. This role involves working closely with program teams, field staff, and government counterparts to gather and analyze data from various sources, including community health camps and facility records. The Analyst will transform complex data into actionable insights that will inform program management, learning, and reporting. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring, Data Management and Analysis: The Analyst will collate, clean, and manage high-volume data from multiple sources, including community camps and facility records. They will perform routine and ad-hoc analyses to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to screening coverage, diagnostic yield, and treatment outcomes. Additionally, they will design and maintain interactive dashboards for real-time insights.
Reporting and Knowledge Products: The Analyst will lead the preparation of high-quality monitoring reports and presentations for donors and government stakeholders. They will develop technical briefs and case studies that translate project findings into actionable insights.
Program Support and Field Engagement: The Analyst will collaborate with field teams to identify data quality gaps and conduct regular field visits to validate data and gather qualitative insights. They will also provide training to field staff on data collection tools and reporting formats.
Cross-functional Collaboration: The Analyst will align M&E indicators with technical and operations teams and contribute to adaptive learning processes by highlighting trends and opportunities for improvement. They may also undertake additional analytical tasks as required by the project.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is acceptable. Experience working with large datasets and in donor-funded or government-supported health programs is preferred, particularly in TB and lung health. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be able to synthesize data into clear narratives and possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Educational Background: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Life Sciences, or Social Sciences. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred, especially for candidates with less professional experience. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in data analysis and health program evaluation.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience if holding a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 1 year of experience if holding a Master’s degree. Experience should include working with large datasets and routine program data, preferably in health programs related to TB and lung diseases. Familiarity with donor-funded projects and government health initiatives is highly desirable.
