Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Individual International Consultant include but are not limited to:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of current financing mechanisms and identifying gaps in the existing frameworks.
Developing strategic recommendations for enhancing financing for development initiatives in alignment with national and international development goals.
Collaborating with UNDP teams and external stakeholders to design and implement innovative financing solutions.
Preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to UNDP management and partners.
Facilitating workshops and training sessions to build capacity among local stakeholders on financing for development.
Monitoring and evaluating the impact of implemented strategies and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Engaging in regular communication with the UNDP Procurement Unit and other relevant departments to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in finance, economics, or a related field, with a proven track record of working on financing for development projects. A deep understanding of international development frameworks and financing mechanisms is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and policies will be considered an asset. Candidates should also have experience in stakeholder engagement and capacity building.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in finance, economics, international development, or a related field is required for this position.
