The role includes supporting the creation of course content, presentations, and learning aids, as well as conducting research on training needs, best practices, and methodologies. Interns will be responsible for recording and summarizing their findings to support program improvement and reporting efforts.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in Social Sciences, Education, or a related field. A certificate in adult education, instructional design, or a similar area is considered an asset. Demonstrated experience in utilizing the Systematic Approach to Training or other adult training methodologies is essential, along with familiarity with blended learning software such as Articulate. Previous experience in organizing or assisting with training activities is advantageous, as is knowledge of best practices for creating course content and job aids. Experience in reviewing training data and summarizing findings for improvement purposes is also beneficial.
Educational Background: Candidates must be at least 20 years old and have completed a minimum of three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards a first degree. They may apply up to one year after completing a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree. It is important to note that candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA's internship program.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have relevant experience in training methodologies and practices. While specific years of experience are not mandated, familiarity with training activities and the ability to apply adult education principles are crucial. Previous involvement in training program development or implementation will be viewed favorably.
Languages: Good written and spoken English is essential for this position. Fluency in any other IAEA official language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, or Russian, is considered an asset and will enhance a candidate's application.
