Job Overview:
The Data Management Team Leader is responsible for managing a team that provides third-level support for complex service requests, focusing on the development and management of data services and software projects. This role involves ensuring the timely and accurate provision of services while coordinating with stakeholders and monitoring project progress. The Team Leader is expected to apply management principles to deliver technical services efficiently, act as a technical expert in developing innovative solutions, and provide leadership and guidance to team members. The position requires a strong emphasis on effective communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Management Team Leader will manage a team of engineers, specialists, and technicians, ensuring effective planning, tracking, and delivery of divisional projects. Key responsibilities include establishing clear work objectives, monitoring workloads, and managing performance. The Team Leader will lead knowledge sharing within the team, analyze IT-related needs for safeguards implementation, develop software solutions based on user requirements, and apply project management practices to oversee a portfolio of projects. Additionally, the Team Leader will manage the SGTS Data Centre infrastructure, continuously improve service provision through process reviews, and promote a respectful workplace environment. The role also involves serving as a subject matter expert and ensuring effective internal communication across teams and divisions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree. A minimum of ten years of relevant working experience is required, including supervisory or management experience and managing complex technical projects. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in information technology, project management, and quality management principles, along with a disciplined approach to software engineering and system design.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master's Degree) in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field combined with two years of additional relevant working experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the technical and managerial aspects of the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of ten years of relevant working experience, particularly in areas outlined in the expertise section. Candidates must have experience in a supervisory or management capacity and managing complex technical projects. Languages:

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $103,165, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance.
