Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Youth Project Manager of the Paris/Créteil Academy, you will participate in the development of the Race Against Hunger by conducting awareness sessions for a young audience. Your role will involve engaging with students in schools within the Paris/Créteil academies (Ile-de-France region) to raise awareness about hunger and humanitarian issues. You will represent Action contre la Faim in educational institutions, contribute to the planning of activities, and support volunteers in their efforts. This position is crucial for fostering a sense of social responsibility among young people and encouraging their involvement in humanitarian actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct awareness sessions in schools to mobilize young audiences about hunger and humanitarian issues.
Represent Action contre la Faim in educational settings, ensuring the organization's mission and values are communicated effectively.
Assist in the planning and organization of activities related to the Race Against Hunger.
Support and guide volunteers involved in the project, ensuring they are well-prepared and informed.
Collaborate with educational staff to integrate awareness sessions into the school curriculum.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of awareness sessions on students and provide feedback for improvement.
Maintain communication with the project manager and report on progress and challenges faced during the sessions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Bac +2/3 level qualification and have substantial experience in facilitation or animation, with a BAFA (Brevet d'Aptitude aux Fonctions d'Animateur) being appreciated. Strong interpersonal skills, particularly with children and adolescents, are essential, along with the ability to adapt pedagogical approaches to engage a young audience effectively. Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in humanitarian actions and possess organizational skills to manage schedules and tasks autonomously.
Educational Background: A minimum educational qualification of Bac +2/3 is required for this position. This level of education typically corresponds to a two or three-year post-secondary degree, which provides foundational knowledge and skills relevant to the role of an animator or facilitator in educational settings.
Experience: Candidates should have a good level of experience in animation or facilitation, particularly in engaging with young audiences. The role is based in Paris, with frequent travel required within the Ile-de-France region. The salary ranges from €30,000 to €34,000 gross annually, depending on experience.
