Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Youth Project Manager of the Rouen/Orléans/Tours Academy, the Animateur(trice) de Sensibilisation will participate in the development of the 'Course contre la Faim' initiative by conducting awareness sessions for a young audience. This role involves engaging with students in schools across the Orléans-Tours/Normandy academies, specifically in the Burgundy, Centre Val de Loire, and Normandy regions. The Animateur(trice) will represent Action contre la Faim in educational institutions, contribute to the planning of activities, and support volunteers. The position requires a proactive approach to mobilizing young people and fostering their understanding of humanitarian actions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Animateur(trice) de Sensibilisation will have several key responsibilities, including:
  • Conducting awareness sessions in schools to engage and mobilize young audiences about the issues of hunger and humanitarian efforts.
  • Representing Action contre la Faim in various educational settings, ensuring the organization's mission and values are effectively communicated.
  • Contributing to the planning and organization of activities related to the 'Course contre la Faim' initiative.
  • Supporting and guiding volunteers involved in the program, ensuring they are well-prepared and informed.
  • Collaborating with educational staff to integrate awareness sessions into school curricula.
  • Traveling frequently to different regions for outreach activities, necessitating a valid driver's license and ideally access to a vehicle.
  • Maintaining a high level of organization and time management to work autonomously while adhering to project timelines.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bac +2/3 level qualification and have substantial experience in animation, with a BAFA (Brevet d'Aptitude aux Fonctions d'Animateur) being appreciated. Strong interpersonal skills, particularly with children and adolescents, are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively and adapt to a young audience. Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in humanitarian actions and possess organizational skills that allow for independent work and effective time management.

Educational Background:
The position requires a minimum educational background of Bac +2/3, which typically corresponds to a two or three-year post-secondary education. This educational level is essential for understanding the complexities of the role and effectively engaging with the target audience.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a good level of experience in animation or educational roles, particularly those involving youth engagement. Experience working in humanitarian contexts or with non-profit organizations is highly valued, as it aligns with the mission of Action contre la Faim.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, given the nature of the role and the audience. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances communication with diverse groups.

This is a full-time position classified as an 'Agent de maîtrise' under a fixed-term contract (CDD) lasting 7 weeks, concluding on 17/04/202
  • The role is based in Paris, with significant travel required in the Burgundy, Centre Val de Loire, and Normandy regions. The salary ranges from €30,000 to €34,000 gross annually, depending on experience. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave and 21 days of RTT (reduction of working time). Health coverage is provided, with 80% of costs covered by Action contre la Faim. Additional benefits include transport allowances covering 50% of commuting costs, meal vouchers, and access to social services. Telework is permitted, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and integration days.
