Job Overview: The PSP Associate (Donor Care and Comms) position is designed to align with the PSP Global strategy on Donor Experience & Development. The primary function of this role is to develop and implement strategies for omnichannel donor communication and engagement. This is crucial for strengthening donor loyalty and optimizing opportunities to enhance the lifetime value of donors. The associate will craft donor-centric content aimed at improving retention rates and encouraging additional donations. The role involves building engagement at every stage of the donor journey by providing enriched online and offline communications to maximize donor satisfaction. The associate will report to the PSP Officer and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and developing the omnichannel donor communication and engagement plan for PSP Malaysia. This position is vital for ensuring that donors receive a positive supporter experience and that the expected income from the donor base is secured each year. The associate will work closely with both Individual Giving and Middle Donor programme teams to maximize the lifetime value of respective donor segments and provide overall functional guidance to the donor communication and engagement team, ensuring effective and efficient implementation of all donor communication programmes with a donor-centric approach.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the PSP Associate include supporting the implementation of communication strategies for various countries and special projects, monitoring news and trends to insert UNHCR's messaging into ongoing conversations, and forging strategic partnerships with individuals and organizations to promote UNHCR content. The associate will help develop news-driven content to lead the narrative on forced displacement, create emotive storytelling to generate empathy, and ensure that content reaches maximum impact through effective distribution strategies. Additionally, the associate will monitor donor communications projects, assist in implementing campaigns and events, and design and review donor communication innovations using a data-driven approach. The role also involves collaborating with the Individual Giving and Middle Donor programmes to track metrics, conduct donor analytics, oversee omnichannel programmes, and drive brand-building efforts by ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. The associate will liaise with outsourced vendor services and support UNHCR’s donor events while performing other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the PSP Associate position include a completion of secondary education, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Social Science, or other related fields. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience relevant to the function for those with a high school diploma, or 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in the aforementioned fields. Additionally, candidates should have at least 3 years of experience providing functional guidance or supervision to communications, donor care, or loyalty marketing teams. Proven experience in a fundraising, digital marketing, or communications environment, particularly in donor/customer care and loyalty programmes, is essential. Candidates should also have a track record of driving new initiatives that improve donor or customer experience and experience managing donor or customer records within a customer relationship database. Knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel, is also required.

Additional Notes: This position is offered under a UNOPS Local ICA contract until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. The position requires fluency in English and Malay languages.
