Job Overview:
The Driver position at UNESCO Tashkent Office is crucial for ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of staff, officials, and visitors. Under the supervision of the Administrative Officer, the Driver is expected to uphold the highest standards of discretion and integrity while providing driving services. This role involves not only driving but also ensuring the vehicle's maintenance and readiness for use. The Driver will meet official personnel at the airport, assist with visa and customs formalities, and may be required to translate for officials. The position demands a proactive approach to vehicle management, including keeping accurate logs, arranging for repairs, and ensuring compliance with all necessary documentation. The Driver will also be involved in delivering and collecting mail and documents, and may assist with various administrative tasks when not driving, contributing to the overall efficiency of the office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver's duties include providing safe driving services for UNESCO staff and visitors, ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and clean, and managing all necessary documentation related to the vehicle. Responsibilities also encompass meeting personnel at the airport, facilitating customs procedures, and translating as needed. The Driver must maintain daily vehicle logs, oversee minor repairs, and coordinate major repairs with designated workshops. Additionally, the Driver is responsible for ensuring the availability of essential supplies in the vehicle, such as first aid kits and maps. The role may also involve administrative tasks such as photocopying and filing when not engaged in driving duties. The Driver is expected to report accidents accurately and timely, and assist with the use of communication devices in the vehicle.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary school or equivalent education. A valid driver's license, preferably a category B license from Uzbekistan, is required. The position demands three years of driving experience, particularly with international organizations, and familiarity with local road networks. Experience working with the UN or similar international entities is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and possess excellent communication skills, as well as the capacity to manage heavy workloads and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Educational Background:
