Job Overview:
The Communications and Fundraising Advisor position at NRC Germany is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing the organization's visibility and fundraising capabilities within the country. The advisor will be responsible for implementing NRC's brand strategy, which includes driving fundraising initiatives and managing communications to effectively engage with the public and media. This role is crucial for positioning NRC as a trusted voice in the humanitarian sector, particularly concerning issues of displacement. The advisor will work closely with various stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that increase awareness of NRC's mission and activities, ultimately leading to greater support from private individuals and donors. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Communications and Fundraising Advisor will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: increasing awareness of NRC's work in Germany; managing and developing NRC Germany's media channels and communications in line with fundraising strategies; ensuring consistent application and promotion of NRC's brand identity; supporting the development of individual donor journeys; developing efficient routines for tax reporting for private donors; creating and implementing a media and communications plan that aligns with NRC's brand building and advocacy strategies; managing fundraising products and channels; pitching story ideas to German media; coordinating interviews and securing visibility for NRC leadership; translating and adapting media products for the German market; overseeing NRC's German website and social media presence; tracking and reporting results on digital platforms; partnering with fundraising advisers to ensure effective donor communication; and leveraging digital channels to enhance fundraising strategies.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Communications and Fundraising Advisor position must possess demonstrated experience or higher education in brand management, communication, public relations, or media. Fluency in both English and German is essential, with native-level proficiency in German required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of NRC's internal operations and context, as well as experience in business development, corporate partnerships, or social impact. Knowledge of the German media landscape is crucial, along with experience in project planning and management. The ideal candidate will exhibit flexible thinking and innovation, enabling them to find win-win solutions in challenging situations. Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work independently and proactively are also necessary, as is a proven track record of creating and editing effective communications products in German.
