Job Overview: The role of the Volunteer Graphic Designer involves supporting the design and layout of communication products that present gender statistics and analysis in an attractive and accessible manner. This position is crucial for ensuring that the findings, analyses, and recommendations generated by the Statistics and Data Analysis Area of the Regional Office are disseminated clearly and effectively. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about UN Women's work in the region and contribute to transforming evidence into useful tools for decision-makers and the public. The primary goal is to produce high-quality visual and editorial materials that enhance the dissemination of key information and increase the reach of the organization's initiatives through social media and other digital channels.
Duties and Responsibilities: The volunteers will be responsible for designing and laying out communication products such as briefs and reports, ensuring alignment with institutional visual identity and graphic guidelines. Each volunteer will perform the following tasks:
Design and layout communication products (two-pagers or briefs) based on previously published knowledge products, adapting them to various formats and platforms while ensuring accessibility and readability.
Create the graphic line for one dissemination product defined by the area.
Participate in coordination and technical feedback meetings with the UN Women team. This collaborative effort aims to produce visually appealing and informative materials that effectively communicate the organization's findings and recommendations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong graphic design skills, proficiency in design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite), and an understanding of visual communication principles.
