Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for the following duties:
Develop and implement a comprehensive document management protocol that aligns with international standards and best practices.
Conduct assessments of existing document management practices within the defense sector and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the protocol meets the needs of various entities involved in human rights documentation.
Provide training and support to personnel on the new document management practices and tools.
Ensure compliance with the recommendations of the CEV regarding documentation and archival processes.
Prepare reports and documentation outlining the progress and outcomes of the implementation process.
Engage in continuous communication with UNDP and other relevant parties to ensure alignment and address any challenges that arise during the project.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
A minimum of four years of experience in document management, archiving, or information management within public entities or the defense sector.
Proven experience in the technical harmonization of archival instruments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Spanish.
Familiarity with international standards for document management and archival practices.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background is required, typically including a degree in information management, archival science, library science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in these areas will be considered an asset, as they demonstrate a higher level of expertise and commitment to the field.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have at least four years of relevant experience in document management or archival work. This experience must be post-graduation and should not include overlapping roles. Candidates should have a solid track record of working in public institutions or the defense sector, particularly in roles that involve the management of sensitive information and documentation.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory for this position, as all documentation and communication will be conducted in this language. While not required, proficiency in English or other languages may be considered an advantage, particularly in contexts involving international collaboration or reporting.
Additional Notes: This contract is for a duration of four months and is classified as an individual contractor position.
