Job Overview: The Finance Officer role at VSO involves providing essential financial services for the RECAP project, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and standards. Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Officer will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including:
Managing the day-to-day financial operations of the RECAP project in accordance with approved budgets and work plans.
Monitoring project expenditures against budgets and providing regular budget versus actual (BVA) analysis to ensure financial accountability.
Supporting budget revisions, reallocations, and financial forecasts in coordination with the Project Manager to adapt to changing project needs.
Ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, advances, and reimbursements to maintain smooth financial operations.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, vouchers, and supporting documentation to facilitate audits and compliance checks.
Ensuring proper coding of expenditures in line with donor budget lines and internal accounting systems to uphold financial integrity.
Collaborating with other team members to ensure compliance with VSO policies, quality assurance standards, donor requirements, and local legislation.
Providing financial reports and insights to stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
