Job Overview:
The Regional Marketing Officer (RMO) for the EMECA Region plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality marketing materials that enhance the visibility and positioning of CRS across the region and its country programs. The RMO serves as the regional focal point, supporting the design, implementation, and completion of centrally supported marketing efforts. This position requires close collaboration with regional and country program teams, as well as cross-agency teams, to advance CRS's visibility and donor engagement. The RMO will work under the guidance of regional and country leadership to produce timely and compelling content that showcases CRS's impact and credibility to key stakeholders. Additionally, the RMO will contribute to strategic engagement priorities by collecting, documenting, and disseminating materials that inform strategic decision-making. The role also involves mentoring and guiding staff to strengthen communications capacity across the region, ensuring brand alignment, and producing content for high-visibility moments. The RMO's responsibilities include ensuring consistent messaging and increased brand recognition for CRS.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Regional Marketing Officer include serving as the regional focal point for communication and strategy coordination between regional leadership, country programs, and cross-agency communications teams. The RMO is responsible for translating technical program information into clear and concise language suitable for various audiences while ensuring the accuracy and clarity of programmatic content. The RMO will contribute to integrated planning processes to align marketing strategies with both agency-wide and regional priorities. Collaboration with Regional and Country Program Leadership, Institutional Funding, and Global Marketing Strategists is essential to produce compelling content that enhances donor engagement and strengthens CRS's positioning with specific donors. The RMO will apply a 'magic triangle' marketing approach that integrates audience insight, creative storytelling, and strategic objectives to ensure effective communication of donor priorities, program impact, and CRS's mission. Regular coordination and consultation with regional leadership will support strategic engagement that increases CRS's visibility and brand recognition. The RMO will also ensure the collection, documentation, and dissemination of regional and country-level marketing materials for strategic decision-making, highlighting CRS's impact and value proposition. Providing strategic messaging guidance, collaborating with content and creative units, producing rapid turnaround content during crises, and contributing to global campaigns are also key responsibilities. The RMO will establish systems to strengthen communications capacity across CRS and partner offices, mentor country communications staff, and support leadership in preparing communications for priority stakeholders. Additionally, the RMO will coordinate with the Regional Business Development focal point on the strategy and development of key materials.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a solid understanding of various audiences, including institutional donors, donor organizations, peer organizations, and CRS global and field partnerships. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in graphic design platforms such as Adobe, InDesign, and Canva. The ideal candidate should be a team player, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and productive. A demonstrated ability to produce a high volume of quality content under tight deadlines is crucial, as well as strong research, analytical, and storytelling skills. The candidate must be flexible to changing contexts and respectful of guidance from those closest to the issues. Strong training and representation/coaching skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively, are also required.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for effective marketing and communication strategies within the context of humanitarian work.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in communications and/or marketing, with a preference for experience working with international non-governmental organizations. This level of experience ensures that the candidate is well-versed in the complexities of marketing within the humanitarian sector and can navigate the challenges associated with donor engagement and visibility.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency or fluency in Arabic is preferred, as it may enhance communication with specific donor audiences and stakeholders in the region.

Additional Notes:
The position may require travel up to 30% of the time. The role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
