Job Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator position is crucial for ensuring the efficient management of logistics operations within the NRC framework. This role involves overseeing logistics support for the Azraq and Zaatari camps, focusing on procurement, fleet management, warehousing, stock management, and asset management. The Logistics Coordinator will implement complex systems and procedures in line with NRC policies and donor requirements, ensuring that all logistics activities are conducted transparently and efficiently. The position requires a proactive approach to managing logistics operations, including the development and implementation of administrative systems and procedures. The Logistics Coordinator will also be responsible for training and developing the logistics team, promoting adherence to PSEA standards, and ensuring compliance with anti-corruption measures. This role is essential for facilitating timely logistics support to program activities and ensuring that all logistics files and reports are accurate and up to date.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator will lead logistics support for the Azraq and Zaatari camps, managing procurement, fleet, warehousing, stock, and asset management in accordance with NRC procedures. Key responsibilities include line managing Logistics Officers, setting priorities, and overseeing performance and development. The Coordinator will ensure transparent procurement processes, manage fleet planning and vehicle allocation, and oversee effective warehousing and stock management. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with program teams to deliver timely logistics support, maintaining accurate logistics files and trackers, and implementing compliance and risk control measures. The Logistics Coordinator will also be responsible for advising line managers on logistics procedures and developing a logistics capacity-building plan for non-logistics staff. Other duties may be assigned by the line manager as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management within the humanitarian sector. Proven experience in managing logistics operations in complex and volatile contexts is essential, along with documented results in humanitarian logistics management. Strong knowledge of local contexts and networks of service providers is required, as well as excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and team-working skills, with experience in supervising staff and supporting their development. Familiarity with local markets and suppliers, particularly around the Azraq and Zaatari camps, is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of logistics and supply chain operations in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within the humanitarian sector. Candidates should have a strong track record of managing logistics operations and demonstrating effective results in challenging environments.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Arabic or other local languages is considered an asset and would be beneficial for effective communication within the local context.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Jordan and involves managing a team of logistics officers and drivers. The role may require occasional travel to different locations within the country.
