Job Overview:
The Asistente Técnico position at UNESCO in Lima is designed to provide technical and management support within the Education sector of the organization. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente Técnico will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities that include operational, financial, and programmatic monitoring. This involves supervising and promoting the progress of various programs and projects, preparing and updating implementation matrices, and issuing alerts regarding any delays or necessary adjustments. The assistant will also be responsible for managing documentation and logistics, which includes preparing administrative documents, ensuring proper documentation traceability, and managing logistical requirements such as accommodations and transportation. Additionally, the assistant will support the preparation of monthly matrices of invitations received by the education sector and assist in obtaining security clearances for missions. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all deliverables are met on time and that the education sector operates smoothly and efficiently.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in fields such as Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Public Management, Law, or related areas. A strong background in administrative management, project planning, and monitoring is essential. The position requires at least ten years of professional experience, with a minimum of three experiences related to administrative management and two years of involvement in social responsibility programs or projects with NGOs, international cooperation organizations, or the United Nations. Advanced knowledge of Excel and user-level proficiency in project management tools is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree or a professional technical qualification in relevant fields such as Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Public Management, Law, or similar disciplines. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of project management and administrative functions within the UNESCO framework.

Experience:
The Asistente Técnico position requires a significant level of experience, specifically a minimum of ten years in a relevant professional capacity. Candidates should have substantial experience in administrative management, project planning, and monitoring, with at least three instances of involvement in related professional roles. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of experience working on social responsibility programs or projects with NGOs, international organizations, or the United Nations, which demonstrates their capability to operate within a global context and understand the intricacies of international cooperation.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and the local context.
