Job Overview:
The Senior Solutions Architect position within the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) department at the World Bank in Chennai, India, is a critical role that involves providing technical leadership and guidance for complex projects. The successful candidate will work on multiple projects within the World Bank Operations portfolio, ensuring that the technical solutions align with the unit's initiatives and are effectively delivered to Operations Staff. This role requires a deep understanding of both technology and business segments, as the architect will oversee solution delivery responsibilities and guide a team of staff and developers, both on-premises and offshore. The architect will be responsible for leading the design and modeling of application and data architecture, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and guidelines, and driving the delivery of AI-powered business solutions to support business priorities and accelerate data-driven decision-making across the institution.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Solutions Architect include, but are not limited to: acting as the Technical Lead for the implementation, maintenance, and operation of business-critical applications; architecting process integrations with various applications and data platforms; leading the implementation of workflow patterns and container-based document management systems; providing guidance to stakeholders on technical features of digital solutions; documenting and communicating technical analyses and designs; collaborating with the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Information Security Team to meet security requirements; identifying and analyzing systemic issues; defining technology principles that guide decisions; coordinating with vendors and consultants; mentoring junior staff; and ensuring effective delivery of solutions in alignment with World Bank standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in computer science with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Proven leadership in managing large, complex deliverables is essential, with a minimum of 7 years of experience leading large teams of developers. Candidates should demonstrate hands-on technical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and develop solutions in high-pressure scenarios. A solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, design patterns, and cloud technologies is required, along with extensive experience in Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft Dynamics solutions.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in computer science with significant relevant experience. The educational qualifications should reflect a strong foundation in technology and information systems, with an emphasis on practical application in complex environments.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master’s degree, or at least 10 years for those with a Bachelor’s degree. Candidates should have extensive experience in leading large teams and managing complex deliverables, particularly in environments with shifting priorities and diverse client bases. Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining large-scale solutions is crucial, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem.
