Job Overview: The E T Consultant position within the World Bank's Treasury sector is a critical role that involves supporting the Pension and Endowments Department (PEN) in managing the financial aspects of the World Bank Group's funded benefit plans. This includes overseeing the Staff Retirement Plan and other ancillary benefits. The consultant will be responsible for assessing current business processes and data infrastructure, implementing AI solutions, and ensuring compliance with data policies. The role requires collaboration with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and support the financial management of approximately $45 billion in assets. The consultant will also be tasked with providing training and documentation for AI-powered solutions, ensuring that the team is equipped to leverage these technologies effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the E T Consultant include: assessing current business processes and data infrastructure to identify opportunities for implementing agentic AI/Copilot; planning and executing the integration of AI agents into production environments with minimal disruption; delivering training sessions for team members on AI tools; managing knowledge sources to ensure data quality and compliance; supporting the maintenance and performance monitoring of deployed agents; collaborating with IT services to ensure solutions meet organizational standards; providing user training and documentation for AI solutions; managing information flows to data storage systems; and staying updated on industry best practices and technological advancements relevant to the team's functions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a combination of degrees or certifications in Computer Science or AI, along with 2-3 years of experience in financial projects, particularly in investment middle offices or operations functions. Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, data analytics, or a finance background are advantageous. A solid understanding of generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and responsible AI use is essential, along with proficiency in Python and SQL. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and its applications, as well as experience with tools like Copilot Studio, is also required. Strong communication and presentation skills, a high level of initiative, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are crucial.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in AI, data analytics, or finance are preferred, as they provide a deeper understanding of the technical and financial aspects of the role.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial projects, particularly within investment middle offices or operations. Experience with AI technologies and their application in financial settings is highly desirable, as is a proven track record of successfully managing projects that leverage AI tools for business needs.
Languages: The mandatory language for this position is English, which is essential for communication within the organization and with external stakeholders. While not required, proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances the ability to engage with diverse clients and partners.
Additional Notes: This position is a local recruitment opportunity with a term duration of one year, which may be renewable at the discretion of the World Bank Group. The role is full-time and is subject to a lifetime maximum appointment of three years for ET positions. Candidates should be aware that if an ET appointment ends before completing a full year, it will still count as a full year towards the lifetime maximum.
