Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include drafting Arabic news articles by integrating and translating information from various sources, such as reports, press releases, and official statements. The intern will assist with fact-checking and conducting background research to ensure the accuracy of the content. Additionally, the intern will help produce graphic, visual, and audio content, and will be encouraged to work on feature stories, conduct interviews, and draft those stories. The intern will also review the partnerships database in collaboration with the UN Partnerships Unit, seeking new digital media partners and trustworthy entities focused on fact-checking and media literacy. Other duties may be assigned as needed, including outreach efforts to promote the UN's initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, English, or translation studies. Alternatively, applicants may be in their final academic year of a first university degree program in the same fields. Candidates should be proficient in standard word processing and spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
