Job Overview:

The primary function of this branch is to produce multimedia content that promotes the UN's core values, including peace, human rights, and development. Interns will gain practical experience in a dynamic newsroom environment, focusing on the production of daily news articles, in-depth features, and various multimedia products in the Russian language. The role is designed for individuals eager to enhance their skills in journalism and media production while contributing to the UN's mission of disseminating information globally.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include drafting news articles in Russian by integrating and translating information from diverse sources such as reports, press releases, and official statements. They will proofread articles before and after publication to ensure accuracy and clarity. Additionally, interns will assist with fact-checking and conducting background research to support news production. They will also contribute to the creation of graphic, visual, and audio content, and will have opportunities to work on feature stories, conduct interviews, and perform outreach activities. Other duties may be assigned as needed, providing a comprehensive experience in the UN's media operations.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program in fields such as communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, English, or translation studies. Alternatively, candidates may be in their final year of a bachelor's degree program in the same fields. Proficiency in standard word processing and spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, is essential. Educational Background:
