Job Overview: The Senior Project Associate (EVA) will play a crucial role in supporting the US State Department funded 'Emergency Victim Assistance Fund for Victims of Trafficking' project, which aims to provide urgent assistance to victims of trafficking globally. This position requires a solid understanding of counter-trafficking issues and experience in case management processes. The Senior Project Associate will work closely with the Senior Project Associate and the Senior Programme Officer to ensure effective implementation of project activities, including logistical, financial, and administrative support. The role involves extensive interaction with IOM Missions and partner organizations, requiring strong communication and coordination skills to assist victims effectively. The position also entails preparing reports and conducting trend analysis based on case data, thereby contributing to the overall success of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Project Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: assisting in the day-to-day implementation of the Emergency Victim Assistance Fund, responding to program inquiries, confirming receipt of screening forms, and following up with IOM Missions and partners to gather necessary information for case assistance. The role includes coordinating international travel and airport assistance for victims, maintaining case data, and supporting IOM Missions with monitoring reintegration cases. Additionally, the Senior Project Associate will prepare reports and conduct trend analysis on case data, attend relevant meetings and trainings, and undertake duty travel as required. The position may also involve reviewing case-related materials to ensure quality documentation and providing technical support to IOM Missions as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in international relations, social services, social sciences, or a related field, along with four years of professional experience. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting victims of trafficking and other vulnerable populations, as well as a background in casework or direct assistance to victims. Familiarity with counter-trafficking projects and experience working with US government donors, IOM, US-based NGOs, and government officials is essential. A strong understanding of migration issues and IOM policies related to vulnerable migrants is also required.
Educational Background: The educational requirements for this position include a high school diploma with significant professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international relations, social services, or social sciences from an accredited institution. The educational background should provide a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of migration and trafficking issues, as well as the skills necessary for effective case management and support.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of four years of professional experience in roles related to supporting victims of trafficking or vulnerable populations. Experience in casework, direct assistance to victims, and involvement in counter-trafficking projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with the workings of US government donors, IOM, and NGOs will be beneficial for navigating the complexities of the role and ensuring effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, both oral and written. Additionally, working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is desirable, as it will enhance communication with diverse populations and stakeholders involved in the project.
Additional Notes: This position is a one-year fixed-term contract with a monthly salary of USD 6,329.7

Candidates must hold a valid residence and work permit for the United States and will be required to undergo medical certification and verification of residency and visa.
