Job Overview:
The National Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating activities under the UK-PACT electric mobility project, IKI-JET, and the PAGE programme in Thailand. This position is essential for ensuring that the project aligns with the ILO’s Just Transition framework and effectively collaborates with government and UN partners. The coordinator will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities, ensuring compliance with ILO policies and the approved work plan. The role also involves providing technical and administrative oversight to the project team, contributing to project proposals, and supporting the development of national strategies and budget planning. The coordinator will be responsible for identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and facilitating communication with various stakeholders to ensure timely achievement of project targets and deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Project Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the timely implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all project activities. Key duties include managing the administrative aspects of the project, guiding and supervising project personnel, contributing to project development proposals, and drafting reports for donors. The coordinator will monitor project progress by reviewing work plans and reports, identifying problems, proposing solutions, and coordinating with relevant departments and organizations. Additionally, the coordinator will provide policy advice to government and social partners, organize training programs, and represent the project in various forums. The role requires maintaining strong links with ILO specialists and ensuring high-level communications to enhance the project's visibility.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in economics, social sciences, law, political science, or a related field, with a strong understanding of development issues. A postgraduate degree is advantageous. The position requires at least three years of relevant professional experience in project management, supervision, and consultancy services, with a proven track record of engaging with external partners and stakeholders. Candidates should have a strong understanding of labor market dynamics, environmental sustainability, and policymaking processes, particularly within the ILO’s mandate.

Educational Background:
A first-level university degree in a relevant field such as economics, social sciences, law, or political science is required. A postgraduate degree would be considered an advantage, as it demonstrates a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in development issues and project management.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in project management, including supervision and consultancy services. Experience in meeting deadlines, achieving targets, and ensuring timely report submissions to donors is essential. Proven experience in engaging with external partners, including government institutions and international organizations, is also required. Familiarity with thematic areas related to the ILO’s mandate, particularly in just transition and green jobs, is highly desirable.

Languages:
Excellent command of Thai is mandatory, along with a good working knowledge of English. Proficiency in additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and partners.

Additional Notes:
This position is a short-term contract lasting for 7 months. The recruitment process is open to both internal and external candidates, with specific local recruitment and eligibility criteria for National Officer positions.
