Job Overview:
The Partnerships Specialist will lead the Private Sector Fundraising & Partnerships (PFP) team under the supervision of the Chief of PFP. This role is crucial as UNICEF Indonesia increasingly relies on funds raised within the country to support its programs for children. The Partnerships Specialist will deepen collaboration with key private sector stakeholders, including companies, foundations, high-net-worth individuals (HNWI), and business networks. The position involves both fundraising and non-financial engagement, influencing industry standards and regulations. The specialist will ensure that the Partnerships Team's activities align with UNICEF's strategic goals and contribute to achieving ambitious fundraising targets while maximizing the positive impact of the private sector on children's rights and welfare.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the Partnerships Team’s activities and outreach to private sector partners to strategically contribute to fundraising and programmatic targets.
  • Lead the team in engaging Corporate, Foundation, and HNWI partners.
  • Identify and promote new partnerships, collaborating with UNICEF colleagues to broker agreements with relevant private sector partners.
  • Ensure compliance with UNICEF’s due diligence criteria in all partnership discussions.
  • Provide strategic, logistical, and programmatic support to senior management and UNICEF staff in corporate engagement.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and prospective partners, contributing to a database of key contacts.
  • Expand UNICEF’s network of key interlocutors to strengthen relationships with decision-makers.
  • Develop and implement annual work plans and targets.
  • Identify opportunities for fundraising, engagement, policy influence, and collaboration with the private sector. 1
  • Contribute to the development of new partnership practices and resource mobilization strategies. 1
  • Enhance UNICEF’s visibility and influence with the private sector through strategic initiatives. 1
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including guiding and training short-term staff and interns.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include an advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, International Development, or a relevant technical field. Candidates should have at least five years of professional experience in partnerships management and team leadership. Desirable qualifications include relevant experience in development, particularly in fragile settings and humanitarian contexts, business development experience in commercial or non-profit settings, and experience working in international organizations. B2B marketing experience is also beneficial.

Educational Background:
An advanced degree in a relevant field is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's) combined with seven years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.

Experience:
Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in partnerships management and successful team leadership, demonstrating a strong background in engaging with private sector stakeholders and fundraising.

Languages:
Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
