Job Overview: The position of Consultor(a) en comunicaciones con enfoque de género del proyecto Sembremo is focused on providing expert communication services with a gender perspective for the Sembremos Confianza project. This project aims to promote productive reconversion and environmental restoration for peace in Colombia. The consultant will be responsible for coordinating and implementing communication plans that engage multiple stakeholders at national, regional, and local levels. The role requires the design and production of educational and pedagogical communication content that emphasizes environmental issues. The consultant will work closely with various actors to ensure effective communication strategies are in place, thereby enhancing the project's visibility and impact. The position is expected to last for a period of 7 months, during which the consultant will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of gender issues in communication and environmental contexts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
Coordinating the development and implementation of comprehensive communication plans for the Sembremos Confianza project, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Engaging with various stakeholders, including government entities, NGOs, and community organizations, to foster collaboration and enhance communication efforts.
Designing and producing high-quality communication materials, including reports, brochures, and digital content, that effectively convey the project's messages and promote its activities.
Developing educational and pedagogical content that incorporates environmental themes and gender perspectives, aimed at raising awareness and educating target audiences.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies and materials, making adjustments as necessary to improve outreach and engagement.
Providing training and support to project staff and partners on communication best practices and gender-sensitive approaches.
Ensuring that all communication efforts are culturally appropriate and resonate with the local communities involved in the project.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A professional degree in social communication, audiovisual communication, advertising, or journalism.
A specialization in education, communication, or social sciences is highly desirable.
A minimum of four (4) years of specific experience in coordinating and implementing communication plans for environmental projects at national, regional, and local levels.
Proven experience in designing and producing communication content that is educational and pedagogical, with a focus on environmental issues.
Strong understanding of gender issues and the ability to integrate gender perspectives into communication strategies.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a professional degree in fields related to communication, such as social communication, audiovisual communication, advertising, or journalism. Additionally, a specialization in education, communication, or social sciences is preferred, which indicates a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in communication and education within the context of environmental and gender issues.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have at least four (4) years of relevant experience in the field of communication, particularly in coordinating and implementing communication plans for environmental projects. This experience should include working with multiple stakeholders and producing content that is both educational and aligned with gender perspectives. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successful communication initiatives that have engaged diverse audiences.
Languages: The mandatory language for this position is Spanish, as all communication and documentation will be conducted in this language. Proficiency in Spanish is essential for effective engagement with local communities and stakeholders. Additional Notes: This position is classified as an individual contractor role, with a contract duration of 7 months.
