Job Overview:
The Information Management (IM) Specialist will play a crucial role in implementing the Syria Community Consortium (SCC) Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) framework. This position focuses on the technical management of consortium-wide IM systems and platforms, which includes developing and updating forms, online tools, and databases to capture, evaluate, and enhance program implementation. The IM Specialist will gather reporting and data needs from Sector Team Leaders and Officers, coordinate closely with partners, and ensure quality assurance of data inputs. Responsibilities also include maintaining monthly cumulative databases, providing summary analyses, and compiling findings into structured visual dashboards using Power BI and reports. The role requires the management and harmonization of the IM system to ensure accurate data maintenance and documentation of lessons learned from the IM system, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the consortium's efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The IM Specialist will be responsible for developing, testing, managing, and improving the IM system that organizes data on SCC activities. This includes maintaining a monthly cumulative database for tracking beneficiaries reached under various interventions, conducting regular data validation, reviewing sectoral databases, and leading the harmonization of tools across sectors. The specialist will prepare and submit monthly reports using different reporting platforms, design data collection tools, ensure efficient data collection and analysis, and contribute to automation flows. Additionally, the IM Specialist will produce information products such as statistical reports, maps, and dashboards, document lessons learned, create guidelines for end-users, provide training on IM products, develop standard operating procedures, and ensure compliance with data protection standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in information management, database design, or administration, particularly in humanitarian projects implemented by national or international NGOs or UN agencies. Experience in developing reporting systems with visualizations using Power BI or similar applications is essential. Familiarity with data collection tools such as ODK, Kobo Toolbox, or SurveyCTO is required, along with solid knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Basic SQL skills for database management and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite features, including VBA and Macros, are also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate strong data analysis skills, the ability to identify discrepancies, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in information management, business management, statistics, computer science, computer engineering, or related fields is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding data management principles and practices relevant to the role.

Experience:
The position requires at least 4 years of relevant experience in information management, database design, or administration, particularly in the context of humanitarian projects. Candidates should have a proven track record of developing reporting systems and visualizations, as well as experience with data collection tools and GIS.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the organization and with external stakeholders.
