Job Overview: The role of the Facebook Administrator at Morobe Development Foundation (MDF) is crucial for enhancing the organization's online presence and community engagement. As MDF expands its community development initiatives, effective communication becomes essential. The Facebook Administrator will manage the official MDF Facebook account, ensuring timely updates on projects and fostering dialogue with stakeholders. This position directly supports MDF's mission to promote sustainable rural development in Papua New Guinea and contribute to the United NationsSustainable Development Goals, particularly in areas such as climate action, sustainable forest management, and strengthening partnerships. Duties and Responsibilities: The Facebook Administrator will undertake several key responsibilities, including:
Content Creation and Publishing: Develop and schedule engaging posts that highlight MDF’s projects, research findings, and community initiatives. This involves creating graphics, writing captions, and ensuring that all content aligns with MDF’s values and objectives.
Community Engagement and Moderation: Foster dialogue with followers, volunteers, and stakeholders by responding to comments and messages, encouraging constructive discussions, and building a welcoming online community.
Outreach and Partnerships: Utilize Facebook to strengthen partnerships with local communities and international collaborators by promoting volunteer opportunities and collaborative projects.
Analytics and Quality Assurance: Monitor page performance, track engagement metrics, and analyze audience reach to refine strategies based on data insights. All volunteers will collaborate to ensure a cohesive and impactful Facebook presence, reviewing posts for accuracy and integrating feedback from supervisors.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Facebook Administrator position should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen understanding of social media dynamics. Proficiency in graphic design tools and content management systems is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate an ability to engage with diverse audiences and foster community interactions effectively.
