Job Overview:
The position of Iniciativas alianzas público-privadas involves working as an individual contractor within the UNDP framework in Ecuador. The primary function of this role is to facilitate and manage public-private partnerships that align with UNDP's mission of sustainable development. The contractor will be expected to engage with various stakeholders, including government entities, private sector partners, and civil society organizations, to foster collaboration and drive initiatives that promote economic growth and social equity. The role requires a strategic approach to partnership development, ensuring that projects are designed and implemented effectively to achieve desired outcomes. The contractor will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the impact of these initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for future projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
  • Developing and implementing strategies for public-private partnerships that align with UNDP's objectives.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and resource mobilization.
  • Conducting research and analysis to inform partnership strategies and project design.
  • Facilitating workshops and meetings to promote dialogue and collaboration among partners.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress and impact of partnership initiatives, providing regular reports to UNDP management.
  • Ensuring compliance with UNDP policies and procedures in all partnership activities.
  • Providing technical assistance and capacity building to partners as needed.
  • Representing UNDP in relevant forums and discussions related to public-private partnerships.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include:
  • Proven experience in managing public-private partnerships or similar initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of development issues and the role of partnerships in achieving sustainable development goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with UNDP's mission and operations is an advantage.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international development, public administration, business administration, or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred and may be considered an asset in the selection process.

Experience:
The level of experience needed for this position is typically at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in public-private partnerships, project management, or a related field. Candidates with experience working in international development organizations or with government agencies will be given preference.

Languages:
Mandatory languages for this position include proficiency in Spanish, as the role is based in Ecuador and requires communication with local stakeholders. Good to have languages include English, which would be beneficial for engaging with international partners and accessing global resources.
