Job Overview:
The Support Lead for the Infrastructure Component of the ACROSS Project in Nigeria plays a crucial role in facilitating the achievement of project objectives. This position involves coordinating and reporting all activities related to the Productive and Social Infrastructure component of the project. The Support Lead will provide technical guidance and advice to staff and implementing partners, ensuring that CRS's work effectively serves the poor and vulnerable populations. The role requires strong coordination and relationship management skills to ensure that the ACROSS project applies best practices and continuously improves its impact. The Support Lead will oversee infrastructure development projects, ensuring alignment with CRS program quality principles, donor requirements, and good practices. This includes monitoring project documentation, identifying challenges, and supporting local stakeholders to mobilize resources and promote project activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Support Lead include: supporting and coordinating all infrastructure development projects as outlined in the implementation plan; completing project documentation for assigned activities; assisting in the identification of information for case studies and reports; monitoring and reporting challenges or gaps; supporting local project stakeholders and serving as a liaison; supervising and performing inspections at project sites; ensuring proper tracking of resource use through budget reviews; producing technical designs and drawings for infrastructure projects; preparing indicative budgets; designing Cash-for-Work protocols; overseeing training for beneficiaries; coordinating project evaluation activities; collecting information on staff capacity needs; and monitoring capacity building and technical support activities.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in project support, particularly in Construction or Infrastructure management, with at least 2 years in developing and implementing infrastructure projects for development organizations or NGOs. Registration with professional regulatory bodies in engineering, construction, or architecture is an advantage. Candidates should also possess strong relationship management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree is required for this position. A degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management is preferred, as these fields provide the necessary technical knowledge and skills for overseeing infrastructure projects effectively.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in project support, ideally within the field of Construction or Infrastructure management. This experience should include at least 2 years of developing and implementing infrastructure or community infrastructure projects for development organizations or NGOs. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of some educational requirements, indicating a flexible approach to candidate qualifications.

Languages:
English is a mandatory language for this position, while proficiency in Hausa is considered an additional advantage. This linguistic requirement is essential for effective communication with local stakeholders and beneficiaries in Nigeria.

The position may require travel up to 75%, indicating a need for flexibility and willingness to engage with various project sites and stakeholders. The role involves supervisory responsibilities over construction supervisors and contractors, emphasizing the leadership aspect of the position.
